Flood Control Structure Strengthens Calawis River Protection in Antipolo, Rizal Province
As part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. administration’s commitment in building climate-resilient infrastructure under the Build Better More program, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a flood mitigation structure along section of Calawis River in Antipolo City, Rizal.
The Calawis River, known for its winding nature, has long been vulnerable to erosion, bank collapse, and sediment buildup, often leading to overflow and flooding during heavy rains.
