DPWH Improves C-5 Boni Serrano Avenue Katipunan Interchange

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) rehabilitates the C-5 tunnel which was once called as the “biggest comfort room” in Metro Manila.

Under the Routine Maintenance Program, DPWH thru the Quezon City 2nd Engineering District improves C-5 tunnel by sealing leakages in panels and removal of stained wall tiles. Additional lights were also installed to further prevent any vehicular accident.

DPWH Appointments

Appointment to Director position of three (3) officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways as approved by the Office of the President was formalized with the oath of office before DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson. Those who took their oath are (from left) Bureau of Design Assistant Director Adriano Doroy, Bureau of Equipment Director Dante Potante, and Region VI Assistant Regional Director Leah Delfinado.

DPWH Warns Public Versus Unscrupulous Solicitors

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reiterates anew the public warning against a modus operandi involving unscrupulous individuals, who impersonate DPWH officials to solicit cash or favors.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson reminded public works contractors, suppliers, and consultants including officials and employees of the Department to be wary of solicitors pretending to be Secretary Singson or either Undersecretaries Jaime A. Pacanan, Romeo S. Momo, and Rafael C. Yabut.

All motorists are advised to avoid EDSA and take alternative routes due to the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) road re-blocking which will commence from April 16, 2014 (Wednesday) at 2PM for Southbound, and at 12 noon of April 17, 2014 (Thursday) for Northbound on the following roads:

Pasay City

Southbound
• Zamora St. to Roxas Blvd

Makati City

Northbound
• Evangelista to Guadalupe Bridge, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th lane.

DPWH Restricts Quezon Bridge in Quiapo to Light Vehicles

Quezon Bridge in Quiapo, Manila is open only to light vehicles.

Access to Quezon Bridge is limited to light vehicles as recommended by the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region following engineers inspection conducted after fire broke out early yesterday morning (April 10, 2014) in Quiapo, Manila.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson ordered the checking of Quezon bridge structural integrity after shanties below the bridge were burned.
