Farmers Reap Benefits of Farm-To-Market Road Project in Cagayan de Oro City

Residents of Sitio Bato, Barangay Dansolihon in Cagayan de Oro City are now enjoying the benefits of a farm-to-market road (FMR) project completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to support the agricultural businesses in the region.

In a report submitted by Regional Director Zenaida T. Tan, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the project was completed using the total allocated budget of P10 million, in convergence with the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The countdown to the long-awaited day for the full opening to vehicular traffic of the newly built iconic bridge in Loay, Bohol has come to an end.

In his report to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado, Undersecretary and Build Build Build Program Chief Implementer Emil K. Sadain said that the new Clarin Bridge across Loboc River designed as a nielsen arch superstructure and truss members spanning 104 meters has been fully opened for both traffic direction to the motoring public effective Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Southbound Lane of EDSA-Kamuning Flyover to Stay Closed for A Month-Long Repair

The Department of Public Works and Highways announces the extension to one-month closure of the southbound lane of EDSA-Kamuning Flyover in Quezon City for rehabilitation works starting Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Citing a report to DPWH National Capital Regional Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas, Quezon City 2nd District Engineer Eduardo V. Santos said that the repairs spanning 30 meters, girder to girder and pier to pier, will cover a portion of deck slab of 2nd lane at southbound direction.

DPWH Clears Site for Temporary Shelters in Baybay City and Abuyog, Leyte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed site development activities in Barangay Maganhan, Baybay City, Leyte to serve as location of temporary shelters for Typhoon ‘Agaton’ victims in Eastern Visayas.

Based on the status report submitted by Region 8 Director Allan S. Borromeo, Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that on-site development preparations involved the clearing of a two (2) hectare land and surfacing of road right-of-way and building area to give way for the construction of 80 housing units.

DPWH Ends Years of Muddy Road in Abulug, Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has ended Barangay San Agustin, Abulug, Cagayan residents’ years of traversing through a muddy, unpaved road by implementing a road concreting project.

DPWH Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado, citing a report from the DPWH Region 2 Office said that the newly-paved road with a total length of 1.15 kilometer now provides convenience of travel to residents and visitors of the said barangay.
