DPWH Improves Kabankalan-Bais Road in Negros Occidental

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed improvement works along portions of Kabankalan-Bais Road in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

In Barangay Tagukon, construction works were done to widen an 880-lineal meter section of the Kabankalan-Bais Road from two (2) to four (4) lanes and to repair a 979-lineal meter section of the road with concrete pavement.

Both projects include provision of grouted riprap, reinforced concrete box culverts, stone masonry, and road markers as safety features.

The completion of a 1.76-kilometer road widening project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) along Puerto Princesa North Road (PPNR) improves travel to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Citing a report from DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the ₱44.34-million project which involves the construction of two (2) additional road lanes has increased road carrying capacity and improved access to health, education, and economic opportunities.

Driving along Daang Maharlika in Barangay Cutar, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya has become smoother and seamless with the recent asphalt overlay project implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, citing a report from DPWH Nueva Vizcaya 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) said that completed asphalting works would shield the bustling Daang Maharlika to prevent early deterioration and prolong service life of the major north-south highway in the Philippines.
