Toran River Control Project Enhances Flood Protection in Aparri, Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of the Toran River Control Project, which aims to protect lives and properties from frequent flooding caused by high tides of Cagayan River in Aparri, Cagayan.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office II Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, said that the newly completed flood control project stretches over 250 linear meters with 2-berm concrete revetment and steel sheet piles.

Concrete Bridge Improves Local Access in Malungon, Sarangani

Residents of an agricultural area in Sarangani Province can now safely cross over Lower Mainit River through a newly completed bridge constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Based on a report submitted by DPWH Region 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the Lower Mainit Bridge was completed in the amount of ₱86.84 million under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
