7 Roads Still Closed Due to ‘Goring’

As of 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 30, 2023, seven (7) national road sections remain impassable due to Typhoon ‘Goring’ which caused flooding, landslide, slope collapse, road cut, and damage to bridge in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region and Western Visayas.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was able to clear and reopen 11 affected roads but still working on the following closed road sections:

As of 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 30, 2023, seven (7) national road sections remain impassable due to Typhoon ‘Goring’ which caused flooding, landslide, slope collapse, road cut, and damage to bridge in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region and Western Visayas.

DPWH Undertakes Rockfall Netting Project along Biliran Circumferential Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is undertaking a rockfall netting project along Biliran Circumferential Road (BCR), particularly at Barangay Inasuyan, Kawayan, Province of Biliran.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH-Biliran District Engineer Alfredo L. Bollido said that the ongoing project costing P100 million is designed to safeguard public areas, including roads, against landslides and rockfalls while preserving the slope and promoting re-vegetation.
