On-Going Bypass Road Project to Decongest Sariaya Main Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently working on a road that would route traffic away from the narrow and crowded Daang Maharlika or Manila South Road in the proper town of Sariaya, Quezon Province.

“Motorists going in and out of Southern Luzon and Bicol Region will have an alternative road by 2017 as our workers are already laying the 7-kilometer Sariaya Bypass Road which will handle traffic plying between Sariaya and Lucena City, effectively easing traffic congestion along Daang Maharlika,” said DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson.

Ayala Bridge Closed on Four (4) Weekends of October

Vehicular traffic will not be allowed at Ayala Bridge in Manila in the next four (4) weekends of October 2015.

The Department of Public Works and Highways disclosed that post-tensioning and dampers installation works will require full closure of Ayala Bridge every Fridays at 10 PM through Mondays at 5 AM specifically between October 9 to 12, October 16 to 19, October 23 to 26, and October 30 to November 2.

LGU Commends DPWH for Job Well Done

People of Bauko, Mt. Province thru its Municipal Mayor, Engr. Abrahm B. Akilith, PhD. in a letter has expressed their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the granting of their request to concrete unpaved portions (gaps) from Barangay Mabaay to Barangay Tapapan.

The project has facilitated the fast delivery of basic services to the people from their community. They also commended the contractor since unpaved portions are now substantially completed providing easy movement of goods and services.

DPWH Gets Additional P2 Billion Funding for Classrooms Project

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will build about 1,500 new additional classrooms nationwide under the “Matuwid na Daan sa Silid-Aralan” project supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson (4th from right) received from PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Cristino Naguiat Jr. (at center) and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro the released amount of P2 Billion following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between PAGCOR, DepEd and DPWH.
