DPWH Monitors 16 Road Closures as of 12 Noon Friday Due to Odette

A total of 16 national road sections in Central and Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao and Caraga Regions are currently impassable due to fallen trees, flooding, soil collapse, landslide, road slip, damaged bridge, and vehicular accident brought by Typhoon Odette.

The Department of Public Works and Highways - Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH - BOM) reported that three (3) roads are closed in Visayas and thirteen (13) roads are closed in Mindanao.

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Roger G. Mercado disclosed that as of 6:00 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021, the DPWH is working to restore mobility and connectivity on remaining seven (7) national roads in hardest-hit places of Palawan, Bohol, Cebu and Dinagat Islands.

Secretary Mercado identified the following roads based on the latest monitoring report submitted by the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance to be the focus of massive clearing and restoration works:
