DPWH Starts 4-Storey Building Project for State Auditors

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will construct a new office building for the Commission on Audit (COA) that will be built at its central office compound in Quezon City.

DPWH and COA held a groundbreaking ceremony on December 20, 2021 for the construction of a four-storey building with basement that will provide a comfortable working space for the State Auditors.

Widened Nabitasan Bridge Better Links Iloilo City to Dumagas Ro-Ro Port

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has facilitated a better connection between Iloilo City and the Dumagas Ro-Ro Port through the widening of Nabitasan Bridge in Leganes, Iloilo.

According to DPWH Regional Office 6 Director Lea N. Delfinado’s report to Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado, the upgrading from two (2) lanes to four (4) lanes doubles the capacity of the 138-meter Nabitasan Bridge.

15 National Roads Closed Due to Odette

As of 6:00 AM Friday, December 17, 2021, a total of 15 national road sections are impassable to all types of vehicles while four (4) sections have limited access due to Typhoon Odette which has caused flooding, soil collapse, landslide, fallen trees, and damaged bridge.
