PRRD Opens Buendia to Balintawak Trunkline of Skyway

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte inaugurated Thursday, January 14, 2021 the 18-kilometer Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 from Buendia, Makati City to Balintawak, Quezon City that connected the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

Together with the President at the opening ceremony of the elevated expressway built under the Build, Build, Build Program are Department of Public Works and Secretary Mark A. Villar and San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President Ramon S. Ang.

Villar: Sibut Bridge in Nueva Ecija is Now Open

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that a new bridge along San Jose – Rizal Road in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija is now open to general traffic.

Now that the Sibut Bridge is open to all types of vehicles, it should help spur the local economy and provide ease of travel between San Jose City and the town of Rizal here in Nueva Ecija, said Secretary Villar.

Built in the amount of P240 million, full access to Sibut Bridge was allowed starting January 7.

Villar Reaffirms Support to BARMM in FastTracking Infra Program and Development

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has started to synchronize infrastructure development plans and programs to finally make the change for the living condition of the Bangsamoro people happen.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the DPWH is fully committed to implement construction of national roads and bridges and flood control structures that will benefit the Bangsamoro people pursuant to Section 37 Article 13 of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in July 2018.
