Rockfall Barrier at San Jose - Palauig Road in Tarlac Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is on track with the 13,852.80 square meter rockfall barrier system currently being installed along San Jose – Palauig Road in San Jose, Tarlac.

DPWH Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the construction of the slope protection using eco-friendly and green engineering materials at the Tarlac side of the 33.217-kilometer access road will ensure safe travel and protect motorists from potential erosion hazards.

A symbolic blast on Friday, November 19, 2021 officially started work on the road tunnel which is part of the 10.7 kilometers Contract Package I-1 of the Davao City Bypass Construction Project (DCBCP) implemented by DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations.

Marine Batallion Barracks in Cagayan underway

A new barracks for the 20th Marine Company, Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 of the Philippine Marine Corps is being fast-tracked for completion by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sta. Praxedes, Province of Cagayan.

Citing a report from DPWH Cagayan Second District Engineering Office, Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that a two-storey building is being constructed to serve as an operational and lodging facility for the uniformed personnel in Cagayan.
