Villar: Geotagged Photo Monitoring now required in all stages of project implementation

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar has issued a new set of guidelines regarding the geotagging of project implementation photos to improve efficiency in planning, budgeting, project monitoring, and contract management processes.

"In line with the continued implementation of the Department’s Project and Contract Management Application (PCMA), geotagged monthly progress and completion for all road and/or bridge civil works project components are hereby required from Implementing Offices, effective immediately," said Secretary Villar.

DPWH Procurement goes online amid Covid-19 Pandemic

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now allows contractors in the procurement of civil works contracts to conduct submission and receipts of proposed bids online.

Under Department Order 87 issued by Secretary Mark A. Villar, a new electronic process is implemented that aims to streamline the delivery of public service while ensuring safety, health, and welfare of both the Department's personnel and the contractors doing business with the DPWH during this COVID-19 pandemic.

3.2-km Road in Pilar, Bataan widened to 4 lanes

Motorists are now utilizing a newly-widened 3.2-kilometer portion of Gov. JJ Linao Road in the municipality of Pilar, Bataan Province.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office reported the completion of the P96.5-Million road widening project starting at Barangay Nagwaling to Barangay Diwa, Pilar for Segment 1 and portion at Barangay Liyang, Pilar for Segment 2.

Secretary Villar said that the widening of the Plaridel By Pass Road to further ensure safety and convenience of the motorists is among the game-changing projects of DPWH under the Luzon Spine Expressway Network Program aimed at reducing road travel time in Luzon island.

P67-M FMR in Bukidnon Turned Over

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a 5.9-kilometer farm-to-market road (FMR) project in the municipality of Kadilingan, Bukidnon Province.

According to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, the completed the FMR project in the amount of P67-million is a convergence project of DPWH with the Department of Agrarian Reform - Mindanao Sustainable Agrarian and Agriculture Development (DAR-MinSAAD) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
