DPWH Motorists’ Assistance for Undas 2019 “Lakbay Alalay” Program

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar has reactivated its project to as¬sist motorists during holidays with most national roads busy for nationwide observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Starting 7 AM Thursday, October 31, 2019 to 12 noon Monday, November 4, 2019, DPWH “Lakbay Alalay” Team will provide prompt and reliable assistance to motorists and travelers going to visit their departed loved ones.

DPWH to complete road and bridge project in Laoag City before year ends

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is on the final stages of construction of the Cataban-Navotas bridge and road project in Laoag City which is anticipated to boost livelihood activities in the area.

Residents of barangays Cataban and Navotas, who are known for their production of dried fish and eco-friendly bags made from water lilies, can look forward to possible increase in their income as the P40 million project will improve transport of products and goods.

DPWH breaks ground on Maayon-Sara bypass road project

Aimed to fast-track economic activity in Northern Iloilo and Capiz, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently broke ground for the construction of the 15-kilometer Maayon-Sara bypass road.

Citing a report from Region 6 Director Lea N. Delfinado, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that construction works on the P 390 million road project will be divided into two packages, which shall cover construction and concreting of the two-lane Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP) road, spanning 4.80-kilometer and 4.43-kilometer, respectively.
