Aimed to fast-track economic activity in Northern Iloilo and Capiz, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently broke ground for the construction of the 15-kilometer Maayon-Sara bypass road.
Citing a report from Region 6 Director Lea N. Delfinado, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that construction works on the P 390 million road project will be divided into two packages, which shall cover construction and concreting of the two-lane Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP) road, spanning 4.80-kilometer and 4.43-kilometer, respectively.
