DPWH opens improved road section for loom weaving industry in Aglipay, Quirino

The Phase 1 to pave an industrial road leading to loom weaving and feeds processing center in Aglipay Town, Quirino is now open.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Roger G. Mercado, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that Phase 1 of the project covers the construction of 340 meters gravel to concrete road in 2020 and another 600 meters of 2-lane road this year.

Construction of Panguil Bay Bridge Takes Shape

Construction of the 3.169 kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge Project in Northern Mindanao is moving ahead, with bored piles for the piers and abutments halfway done.

In his report to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado, Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations Emil K. Sadain said that a total of 29 bored piles are already completed off-shore.

Sec. Mercado Inaugurates Camp Crame Building Projects

A five-storey multi-purpose building with a roof deck inside the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at Camp Crame, Quezon City was inaugurated on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado led the inauguration and blessing ceremony of the new building with a total floor area of 12,925 square meters which has a four-level parking with 174 parking slots and admin offices with a pantry and twelve (12) classrooms that can house up to 798 personnel.

Bypass Road to Reduce Travel from Surallah, South Cotabato to General Santos City in 1-Hour

Public Works and Highways Mark A. Villar said that the P3.4-billion Surallah-T'boli-San Jose-General Santos City Road is on track with ongoing civil works already reaching 95.21 percent accomplishment.

Citing reports from DPWH Region 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim, Secretary Villar explained that the multi-year project involves the construction of a 66.69-kilometer, two-lane concrete road, two (2) bridges, with provision of line canal and road safety facilities.
