The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed preventive maintenance works on the 9.46-kilometer section of the Benigno S. Aquino Jr. National Highway, formerly known as the Compostela-Cateel Road - a vital road infrastructure connecting the provinces of Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental.

Newly-Built Retaining Walls Mitigate Flooding in Dulag, Leyte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has finished the construction of two (2) retaining walls to help mitigate flooding in Barangay Highway and Barangay San Rafael, Dulag, Leyte.

The flood mitigation structures along the Calbasag River, were built to block the overflow of water from the river into the road and prevent soil erosion along the riverbanks.

Completed in April 2025, the ₱84.4-million project covers the construction of a total of 376.6 linear meters of flood control structures with a height of 5.8 meters and driven with structural sheet piles.

DPWH Paves FMR to Enhance Accessibility, Connectivity in Davao City

A farm-to-market road (FMR) project implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has facilitated accessibility and connectivity in Davao City’s Paquibato District.

DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon, in a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Mindanao Operations Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., said that the paving of the FMR ensures better linkage of Barangay Colasas to the rest of Davao City.
