64M Asphalt Overlay Project in Prosperidad AGSUR Completed

A total of Php64,186,000 were spent on road project to improve the deteriorated section of the Daang Maharlika Highway (Agusan- Davao Road) in Patin-ay, Agusan del Sur.

The Department of Public Works and Highways – Regional Office XIII (DPWH- RO 13) has allocated the budget amount under the maintenance program for its calendar year 2014 to preserve a smoother and faster transport in the area.

Concreting of Access Road to Enchanted River Underway

Roadwork is currently ongoing to pave the road leading to one hotspot destination in Caraga-Enchanted River.

The Department of Public Works and Highways – Surigao del Sur 2nd District Engineering Office (DPWH- SDS 2nd DEO) is implementing a total of Php41,965,212 million to pave 2.120 km of the national road junction Dugmanon- Enchanted River- Baculin road in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

DPWH-SDS 2nd District Engineer Euglogio D. Milla said “concreting this section is a priority project of DPWH as influx of tourist going to the famed Enchanted River has been increasing.”

1.4B for 23 Road Projects to Boost TRIP 2015

The Department of Public Works and Highways Region XIII (DPWH- 13) has pushed at least 23 proposals of infrastructure projects amounting to Php1,440,642,000 billion for the next year’s Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP).

“We are currently preparing the plans and programs for calendar year 2015, included in this is the TRIP which funding has been increased relatively to the increase of budget programmed for this region,” said DPWH-13 Regional Director Danilo E. Versola.

Zambales 2nd DEO Gears Up for APEC Summit

The Department of Public Works and Highways has geared up paving the roads for the on-coming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit that will converge around 3,000 foreign and local dignitaries and economists all over the 21 participating member- countries.

In Region III, the 2nd Zambales DEO is now completing the repair and rehabilitation of a 930 linear meters portion of the Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo road which will be the main route going to Subic Free Port, one of the sites hosting the summit.

Southbound Lane of Magallanes Interchange Closed to Traffic on August 8-17, 2014

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) advises motorists going South Luzon Expressway and Alabang area to take Osmeña Highway- Magallanes Service Road as the southbound lane of Magallanes Interchange in Makati City will be closed to traffic from August 8 to 17, 2014.

Following the issuance of clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, works for the repair and strengthening of structural component of the flyover including asphalting activities to improve road pavement surface beginning 10 P.M. this Friday (August 8).

DPWH Fasttracks Eastern Visayas Government Center Road Network

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now fast tracking the completion of the Government Center Road Network in Eastern Visayas Regions.

According to Regional Director Rolando M. Asis, works are now in progress for the widening of Government Center Road Network (S00047LT,K0912+(-250)-K0913+595) in Palo, Leyte amounting to P14.1 Million funded under the Network Development-Widening of National Roads-Secondary for CY 2014 under 3 FS Construction.

New P50-M Road Gives Easier Access to Baler Tourism

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO) envisions an improved eco-tourism in the scenic province of Aurora after the completion of the P50-million access road leading to Barangay Sabang, home to some of the most beautiful beach resorts in the province.

Aside from the construction of the 1,489 linear meter (l.m) access road, the project also includes the 420 l.m. river revetment.
