The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of a flood control structure that will protect surrounding rice fields and residential communities, in the upstream portion of Bagongbong River in Almeria, Biliran Province.

Citing a report submitted by DPWH Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO), Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project involves the construction of a levee with reinforced concrete facing two (2) locations along Bagongbong River, measuring a total length of 414 linear meters.

Tan said that the three (3)-storey MPS Building was constructed under the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) Convergence Program of the DPWH and Philippine National Police (PNP).

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reports continued progress on the design and build of 3.17-kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge that will connect the City of Tangub in Misamis Occidental to the Municipality of Tubod in Lanao del Norte.
