Consistent with its mandate to protect lives and properties from natural disasters, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed a new flood control structure along Sanitor River in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia reported that the 680-meter flood control project in Barangay Sanito was completed ahead of its scheduled completion by the DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay Second District Engineering Office (DEO).

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the concrete paving of a local road providing residents and tourists easier access to agro-tourism area in Dinalupihan, Bataan.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the DPWH Bataan First District Engineering Office (DEO) improved a 988.42-lineal-meters of road in Barangay Pita leading to Dinalupihan Agro-Tourism Area.

Contractors with flood-control projects funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will now be required to plant more trees, in addition to the mandatory Tree Replacement Program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Lives and properties of the people of Claveria, Cagayan are now better protected from flooding with the recent completion of the Cabicungan Flood Control Facility by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
