DPWH targets delivery of 3 EDSA decongestion projects by end 2020

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is working towards advance completion by the end of 2020 three (3) of its EDSA decongestion program projects.

DPWH Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, in-charge of Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations and Technical Services, identified these projects all crossing Pasig River as the Bonifacio Global City-Ortigas Center Link Road, Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, and Binondo-Intramuros Bridge expected for completion within the first quarter of 2021.

DPWH resumes road repair works in QC

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue its road reblocking and repairs along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and other roads in Quezon City weekend.

According to DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas, the repair and rehabilitation of three (3) road sections along EDSA and another three (3) other roads in Quezon City will start 11 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020.

Three (3) newly-built school buildings, complete with fire protection and rain water collector systems, were turned over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to two (2) schools in Midsayap, Cotabato.

Hundred of senior high school students of Kimagango National High School have started to utilize the two-storey, six-classroom school building constructed in the amount of P9.81 million.

Desilting project completed along Estero de Tripa de Gallina in support to Manila Bay rehab

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a P46.5-million dredging project along Estero de Tripa de Gallina, considered the longest creek in Metro Manila and one (1) of Manila Bay’s tributaries.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH National Capital Region Director Ador G. Canlas said that desilting measure was recently undertaken along the 900-meter section of the creek to ensure continuous flow of water and prevent accumulation of silt that lessens its water carrying capacity.

DPWH completes 1.7-km road in Calinog, Iloilo

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concreting of Gama Pequeño-Malaguinabot Tahing-Sitio Agdayao Road providing easy and fast commute in Calinog, Iloilo.

The P29.39-million project involved the concrete paving of 1.7-kilometer, two-lane, 6.1-meter wide, 280-milimeter thick road that includes a cross drainage system, slope protection, and thermoplastic pavement markings.
