New graduate school dormitory to rise in UP Los Baños

Public Works Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that construction of the new six (6) storey dormitory for graduate students of the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños, Laguna is in full swing.

“Although we have been experiencing bad weather, construction of the new living quarters is right on track and is aimed for completion on May 2020 to provide students with safe, accessible, and convenient facilities,” said Secretary Villar.

DPWH improves road to McArthur Landing Memorial Park

Ease of travel awaits tourists and residents visiting the MacArthur Leyte Landing Memorial National Park in the Municipality of Palo, Leyte with the upgrading of two (2) access roads by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Based on a report from DPWH Region 8 Director Nerie Bueno, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the multi-year road projects of DPWH Leyte First District Engineering Office (DEO) along Barangays Salvacion and Guindapunan aims to provide improved access going to the memorial park and contribute to the booming tourism in the municipality.

DPWH completes construction of school building in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon

Addressing the problem of overcrowding in Kibenton Integrated School in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completes the construction of a two-storey school building for its Junior High School department.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the construction of the eight-classroom building mainly intends to provide a more conducive learning environment for the students of the school who are residing in barangays Kubayan, Kawayan, and Kibenton.

Residents of far-flung areas in the Municipality of Rizal will no longer have to walk for hours to reach neighboring barangays with the ongoing construction of the Logac-Lasam-Gagabutan Road by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Province of Cagayan.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that a faster and better road connection between Barangays Masi, San Juan, and Bural, collectively known as Zinundungan Valley in Rizal, will soon be serviceable with the upgrading of the 3.1-kilometer gravel road.
