Villar Turned Over 2 Offsite Modular Hospital and Dorms to DOH

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned-over on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 to the Department of Health (DOH) the newly-completed COVID-19 health facilities at the Quezon Institute compound in E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.

DPWH Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar turned over to DOH Undersecretary and Treatment Czar Leopoldo Vega two (2) units of modular hospital with total bed capacity of 44 intended for moderate to severe covid patients and two (2) dormitories with 64 beds for medical personnel manning the operations in Quezon Institute.

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that two (2) units of modular health facilities at Quezon Institute compound in Quezon City has been completed and will be turnover to the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Secretary Villar said that the two units (2) of modular hospital with total bed capacity of 44 will be operated by medical teams from DOH and Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.

The Quezon Institute Offsite Modular Hospital is intended for moderate to severe covid patients, added Secretary Villar.

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that two (2) units of modular health facilities at Quezon Institute compound in Quezon City has been completed and will be turnover to the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Secretary Villar said that the two units (2) of modular hospital with total bed capacity of 44 will be operated by medical teams from DOH and Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.

Villar Opens Bridge Leading to Tagaytay Tourism Areas

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new bridge leading to tourism destinations in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

Secretary Mark A. Villar on Thursday, December 17, 2020 led the ceremonial opening of Kaykulot Bridge connecting Tagaytay-Calamba Road to Sta. Rosa-Ulat-Tagaytay Road, Cavite.

Secretary Villar said that this 90 lineal meter bridge is a key component of the Kaykulot Road that will provide an alternate route and easy access to tourism designated areas such as Tagaytay Picnic Grove and Peoples Park in the Sky (formerly Palace in the Sky).

Concrete Dike Protects Island Barangay in Bangar, La Union

The Island Barangay of Mindoro in Bangar, La Union is now safe from extreme damages brought by flooding with the completion of a 207-lineal meter concrete dike constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) along Amburayan River.

Citing a report submitted by DPWH La Union 1st District Engineering Office, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the flood control project was completed with a total budget allocation of P9.79-million funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2020.

2 Contract Packages of CLLEX Completed

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that two (2) of the major segment of Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Project Phase 1 leading Cabanatuan City have been completed

“Construction of 4.1-km contract package (CP) 1 - Tarlac Section and 6.4-km CP 2 - Rio Chico River Bridge Section are now 100 percent finished”, said Secretary Villar.
