DPWH Resumes NCR Road Rehabilitation Works this Weekend

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume its weekend road repair activities in National Capital Region (NCR).

Citing reports from DPWH – NCR Director Ador G. Canlas, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the road rehabilitation using one (1) day curing concrete mix will be carried out starting at 11 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 along Ortigas-Granada Road after Ortigas-Granada Bridge, 2nd lane from sidewalk.

Villar Opens Boracay Circumferential Road Phase 1, 2

Local and international tourists can now utilize a much-improved road going around the world-famous Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan, with the completion of the 8.73-kilometer portion of Boracay Circumferential Road Project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar on Friday, December 4, 2020 formally inaugurated the completed Phase 1 and 2 road portions that were concreted, widened, and constructed with drainage system, wider sidewalks, provisions of streetlighting, tree planting and road safety markings.

DPWH Completes River Control Project in Rizal, Palawan

A 1-kilometer revetment structure was recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to prevent the overflow and flooding along Iraan River in the town of Rizal, Palawan.

“This river structure will block the overflow of Iraan River during rainy and typhoon season, protecting residential and agricultural land in the area,” said DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
