Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) OIC-Assistant Regional Director Esmeraldo S. Sarmiento turned-over the headship of Albay 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) to Engr. Salome M. Sartillo by virtue of Special Order 93, series of 2019 issued by DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
The simple turnover ceremony was held at the said DEO last August 6, 2019.
The Department of Public and Highways (DPWH) in Region V has started the construction of the new building for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at the Regional Government Center in Rawis, Legazpi City.
In the groundbreaking ceremony held last July 26, 2019, DPWH RD Virgilio C. Eduarte said that the amount of the project is P48.249 million for a 3-storey building with a total area of 3,020 square meters.
This was sourced from the General Appropriation Act (GAA) 2019. The event was graced by DTI Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga and her staff.
As one of the government stakeholders of the Department of Education (DepEd) Vigan City Division, DPWH Ilocos Sur 1st DEO attended the Division Kick-Off Activities and Stakeholders’ Convergence for Oplan Kalusugan (OK) sa DepEd Program for SY 2019-2020 last August 13, 2019 at the Vigan Convention Center.
The district was represented by OIC Assistant District Engineer Raynaldo R. Ablog who joined in the motorcade and participated at the Zumba dance activity.
DPWH Ilocos Sur 1st District Engineering Office donated used Furniture and Fixtures (2 swivel chairs, 3 tables, 3 cabinets, and 2 computer tables), to the Philippine National Police Ilocos Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Camp President Elpidio R. Quirino, Bulag, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
The items were received by PLTCOL. Mary Ann Cayabtab, Provincial Chief of SOCO, who was very grateful to District Engineer Reynaldo S. Organo for the continuous support and assistance of the district.
DPWH-Ilocos Norte 1st District Engineering Office has received 3-way Dump Truck from the Bureau of Equipment as part of the Central Offices’ CY 2018 Equipment Procurement Program.
Only two district offices from Region 1 has this kind of equipment.
The dump truck amounting to 3,875,000.00 could tilt sideways and backwards which makes work faster and easier during disasters, clearing operations and maintenance activities.
This district also procured Boom Truck, Manlift Truck and Road Grader from CY 2018 fund.

Students, faculty and staff of the Iligan City National School of Fisheries (ICNSOF) in Brgy. Buru-un, this city will now have an easier time in going to school with the concreting of their entrance road which used to be a dirt road riddled with mudholes and boulder stones.
Students now also have a more conducive learning environment inside the newly completed 2-storey Laboratory Workshop Building.

San Isidro Elementary School officials warmly accepted the two-storey, 4-classroom building during a turn-over ceremony last September 02, Monday.
District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzalez of Leyte 4th District Engineering Office, together with Ormoc City Mayor Richard I. Gomez and Ormoc City Schools Division Superintendent, Manuel P. Albaño commenced the ceremony.
The school building is a convergence project between Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Public Works & Highways under Basic Education Facilities Fund 2018 (BEFF).
