Flood Control, FMR Projects Benefit Local Communities in Marinduque

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a revetment structure that now prevents flooding in a riverside community of Mogpog, Marinduque Province.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Marinduque District Engineer Richard Emmanuel P. Ragragio identified the completed project in the municipality of Mogpog as the 366-meter flood-control structure along Mogpog River in Barangay Sumangga.

Road Concreting Project Facilitates Agri Transport in Ligao City, Albay

The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed a Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) project in Ligao City, Albay that facilitates better transport of agricultural products from the local producers of Barangay Balogo, Oas to markets in Barangay Busay, Ligao City, Albay.

Stretching 800 meters, the 2-lane access road for farmers also includes box culverts and stone masonry in its strategic parts to provide drainage for excess water that helps to prevent flooding.

A farm-to-market road (FMR) constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has linked the once remote barangays of Cabatuan and Colosboa to the town center of Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the Barangay Cabatuan to Barangay Colosboa FMR project.

DPWH Completes Road Improvement Works in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte

The upgrading of two (2) sections of Dipolog – Sindangan – Liloy Road completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has improved accessibility in the municipality of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia identified the completed sections which involve the reconstruction of a 4.4-kilometer portion in Barangay Manawan and the concrete paving of a 1.5-kilometer portion in Barangay Motibot.
