Hanging Bridge, Improved Road Ease Access of Farming Communities in Puerto Princesa City

Residents of Barangay Puerto Princesa South Road Langogan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan no longer have to rely on makeshift rafts on their way to town with the recent completion of a hanging bridge project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 4B Director Gerald A. Pacanan, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that the Langogan Pedestrian Hanging Bridge was implemented to relieve travelling woes of the locals, especially farmers who had to cross a river through smalls wooden rafts just to transport their produce.

Improved San Fernando City Road Eases Travel to Economic Hubs in Pampanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) rehabilitated a local road in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga to facilitate better access to economic hubs in the province.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino identified the newly-upgraded road in San Fernando City as the 1.05-kilometer, two (2)-lane Dolores-Del Carmen-Bulaon Road in Barangay Del Carmen.

Ilocos Sur Segment of Cervantes-Besao-Sagada Road Now 43% Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 1 has accomplished 43 percent on the Ilocos segment of the ongoing Cervantes-Besao-Sagada Road Project which aims to connect Ilocos Sur and Mt. Province via Besao, Mt. Province.

DPWH Regional Office 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., disclosed that construction for its Package 4 has already commenced, with an allocation of P250 million from the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

Construction of New LTO Building in Malita, Davao Occidental Ongoing

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently constructing a building that will serve as the new district office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Malita, Davao Occidental.

In a progress report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Mindanao Operations Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon said that the construction of new LTO Malita District Office Building is already 85 percent completed.
