DPWH Builds Flood Control Structure Along Lagawe River in Ifugao

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a vital infrastructure project aimed at safeguarding lives, properties, and agricultural lands in Lagawe, Ifugao.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region CAR Director Khadaffy Tanggol said that the completed flood control project at the Tungngod Side and Baliwong Flood Structure along the Lagawe River is a 1.59-kilometer-long, 5-meter-high retaining wall with 3-meter reinforced concrete top, and grouted riprap, fortifying the embankment against erosions.

DPWH Completes P72-M Widening Project Along Marikina-Infanta Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the widening of a section of Marikina-Infanta Road in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal from four (4) to six (6) lanes.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Rizal 2nd District Engineer Wilfredo L. Racelis said that the newly completed 1.71-kilometer road widening in Barangay Sampaloc now improves flow of vehicles in the area.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently finished two (2) flood control structures for the low-lying communities of Orani and Hermosa in the province of Bataan.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo R. Flores, Jr. said that a 441.50-meter flood control system project was completed in Barangay Tapulao, Orani.

The project is linked to an existing river wall for the protection of residents and farmers living close to the riverbank.

New Local Road Connects Agricultural Communities in Aparri, Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a local road project that now benefits farmers in two (2) barangays of Aparri, Cagayan.

DPWH Cagayan 1st District Engineering Office reported the improvement of connectivity between Barangay Navagan and Barangay Binalan with the completion of a 517.97-lineal meter concrete road.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Cagayan First District Engineer Oscar G. Gumiran said that the road project was completed in the amount of P9.78 million funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
