DPWH ROI recommended for PRIME HRM Bronze Award

The Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office I (DPWH RO I) is one of the recommended agencies by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) Bronze award.

DPWH RO I was awarded during the Regional Recognition and Awarding Rites on January 28, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, La Union Provincial Capitol, San Fernando City, La Union.

DPWH-6 joins World Water Day ‘19

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region VI joined the week-long celebration of “World Water Day Ph 2019” with the theme: “Hawak kamay, Tubig Kaagapay” organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 6 - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in collaboration with different National Government Agencies (NGAs), private organizations, schools and Local Government Units (LGUs) in Iloilo from March 19-22, 2019.

DPWH-8 hosts Coordinating Meeting in Bohol

The Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 8 holds Coordinating Meeting last February 28, 2019 held at Alona Kew White Beach Resort in Panglao Island, Bohol.

During the meeting, Undersecretary for Regional Opetions in Visayas, NCR and Region IV B, Engineer Roberto R. Bernardo presented the accomplished projects for 2018 as well as the status of carry-over projects in NCR, Region IV A and Visayas Region.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Ilocos Sur First District Engineering Office (DEO) conducted a simultaneous removal of illegally posted campaign materials with its “Operation Baklas” in line with 2019 National and Local Election.

District Engineer Reynaldo S. Organo impose that personnel of DPWH Ilocos Sur 1st DEO will takedown and removed campaign posters of national candidates that were placed on prohibited areas and structures such as schools, trees, electrical and light posts, waiting sheds, public transport terminals, barangay halls and overpasses.

DPWH-NCR completes P9.3-M road and drainage system

People living along Maya Creek in Barangay Rizal, Makati City will no longer have to bear with high level of flood water with the newly-completed road and drainage project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Flooding always occur in the vicinity of Maya Creek during rainy season since the area has a lower elevation compared to the other adjacent barangays in the area.

DPWH-NCR completes 4-Storey School Building in QC

Students of D. Tuazon Elementary School can now occupy the 4-storey elementary school building completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Quezon City First District Engineering Office (QCIDEO).

The P18.717-million worth school building is composed of 32 classrooms and is funded by the Department of Education (DepEd) under its Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).

DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the project will address classroom shortage in preparation for the opening of School Year 2018-2019 this June.

DPWH widens Bacolod South Road

Traveling in the southern portion of Negros Occidental is easier and more comfortable with the widening of some portions of Bacolod South Road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Negros Occidental 4th District Engineering Office completed the widening of Bacolod South Road in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

DPWH completes spillway bridge project to benefit residents of Southern Leyte village

A spillway bridge project was recently constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to help motorists and locals cross a river in Barangay Himakilo, Bontoc, Southern Leyte.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita Junia said that the spillway bridge was built in the amount of P1.9 million to keep floodwater under control when local drainage systems can no longer contain the water volume.
