Construction of Mondragon-Silvino Lobos Road (Phase 5), 27.51% completed

The construction of the Mondragon-Silvino Lobos Road (Phase 5) which started last August 31, 2018 has 27.51% work accomplishment as of April 30, 2019.

It is expected to be completed after 420 calendar days under the Monolithic Construction and Concrete Products Inc. and Solid M Construction (Joint Venture).

This P235M road project with a contract ID number 18II0053 is funded under the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process/Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (OPPAP/PAMANA) thru the General Appropriation Act (GAA) of CY 2018.

DPWH RO2 celebrates 121st Founding Anniversary

All roads led to the Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office II as it commemorated its 121st anniversary on June 21, 2019.

Employees from the Regional Office and the District Engineering Offices flocked to the regional office grounds for the simple one-day festivity bannering the theme “DPWH: Gabay Tungo sa Konkretong Pag-unlad”.

In his message, Regional Director Melanio C. Briosos reminded everyone to continue their fulfilling their mandate as committed civil servants.

IS2DEO holds meeting on the Removal of Obstruction along National Road Right-Of-Way

DPWH Ilocos Sur 2nd District Engineering Office in Candon City, Ilocos Sur held a coordination meeting with the barangay officials and affected individuals whose properties encroached the 20-meter Road Right-of-Way of the Manila North Road along barangays Poblacion Norte, Baliw Laud, Maynganay Sur, Maynganay Norte, Sumagui and Laslasong West last May 22, 2019 at Sta. Maria Municipal Hall, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur for the implementation of Network Development/Road Widening (Primary Roads) along Manila North Road K0369+000-K0371+460, K0371+781-K0372+190.

DPWH Builds New School Building in Caloocan City

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a four-storey building project that is seen to address the increase in number of elementary school enrollees in Caloocan City.

A P35-Million school building with twelve classrooms was built to accommodate more students of Silanganan Elementary School in Phase 3 Bagong Silang, Tatak Kubo Caloocan City.

DPWH NCR Director Ador G. Canlas said the new building under 2017 Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF) BATCH 10, will directly benefit students who are currently enrolled in the school.

VILLAR: Dagat-Dagatan Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link to open in January

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar announced the opening of the Dagat-Dagatan Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link after conducting a progress inspection of the ongoing construction of the 2.6-km NLEX Harbor Link (R10 Section) and the 8-km NLEX Connector elevated expressways in CAMANAVA.

“We are committed to fully opening this January the new off-ramp that will bring motorists directly from NLEX to Dagat-Dagatan in Malabon City,” Villar noted.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed 92 new rural health units (RHUs) in Region 1 for 2019 to provide residents with better primary health facilities to residents.

According to Secretary Villar, a total of P405-million was allotted under the 2018 Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) of the Department of Health (DOH) for the construction of barangay health stations in multiple barangays in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.
